Why GOTS certified cotton?

The difference with normal cotton is that organic cotton is not treated with chemical pesticides. In order for the cotton plant to grow well, it is supplied with vegetable and animal waste and insects are used as pesticides.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is a worldwide quality mark that sets requirements for the production of organic fibers. For example, they demand that manufacturers keep the damage to the environment as limited as possible by, among other things, using a sustainable waste water system and using water and energy sparingly. The working conditions must also meet the standards set by the International Labor Organization. For example, the right to good, safe and healthy working conditions.
